A mayor facing urban redevelopment wants more than a consultation process. She wants residents to imagine their collective future, not only react to proposals. Using the Envisioning Tomorrow Toolkit, her team runs a visioning workshop with residents across neighborhoods. Participants engage around their characters: a century-old market, a longtime resident, a new green corridor. They create stories from which emerges an inspirational vision that reflects the values and aspirations of the people who live there.
